5 Websites to find free high quality stock photos

Images play an important role in web design. In blog posts, attractive images can attract few more visitors. This is why, it is very important to use right images at right place in your web design and articles. But while using photos, you also need to take care of copyrights. Most of the people just use Google images to find images. This may lead to copyright issues. So, don’t use Google images blindly. To avoid any copyright issue, people search for “Free images” or “free stock photos”. There are many websites which offer stock photos but you have to pay the fee (up to $20 per image on sites like ShutterStock and 123Rf). But there are also few websites which lets you download and use stock photos for free. In this post, I am listing few websites where you can find free high quality stock photos.
5 Websites to find free high quality stock photos
1. Unsplash
Unsplash is the best place to find high quality photos. You are free download and use. You also do not need to give credits to photographers. You can use these images on your blog posts, web design and social media posts without any issue. They upload 10 new photos in every 10 day. You can subscribe to get email updates when they upload new images.
2.Free Digital Photos
Free Digital photos is another website which I use to search for free photos. You can search for images by keywords and select the photo which you like. Sometimes you need to give credit the photographer but it is not a big deal.
3. Pixabay
Pixabay is also a good website. I found it also very useful for finding photos. You will get lots of good quality photos, illustrations and vector graphics. You also do not need to give any credits.
4. Public Domain Photos
Public Domain Photos is also a good website which offers around 5000 stock photos for free. You can search images and use it in your blog posts or posters for free. ALthough I didn’t find this very useful, you may get your desired photo here.
5. Pic Jumbo
Pic Jumbo is also a good stock photo searching website from where you can find good quality photos for your blog posts and web design. You can use any image on any kind of project. Good thing is that you do not need to give attribution to the photographers.
Now you know from where to download free photos. Now you must know about Pablo which lets you design photos for your blog posts and social media campaigns.
Pablo Photo design app
Buffer launched Pablo as a photo designing app. This is not a stock photo searching website, but it can be useful with other photo search websites. Hi Deepanker, good list. For me the best are Picjumbo and Pixabay. I also love http://libreshot.com/
Great article Deepanker,
I recently started http://fancycrave.com/ as a side project a few months ago. The site consists of completely free stock photos all taken by me and other talented photographers. It’s basically a collection of images from my travels around South East Asia, North America, and South America (soon). My aim for these photos is to help designers and creative alike. People can use these images for whatever purpose they please.
I keep things very simple. I list the photo, its tags, the author, and the download link. I don’t make people jump through any hoop, like signing up for an email newsletter or making them “Like” my facebook page.
I also started to publish niche specific photo packs all for free.
I hope you and others will find it valuable. I just want to contribute back to the wonderful blogging, design, marketing, and creative community. If you see it fit, I’d be very grateful if you could add Fancycrave to this list.
Cheers!
