How to Add GIF Stickers to Instagram Story

Instagram has recently added an option to add GIFs Stickers to Instagram Stories. If you love using GIFs on social media, you will surely love this feature. For making wide range of GIFs available, Instagram has partnered with GIPHY. So, you have all GIPHY GIFs to use on story.

The option is now available globally. If you are not sure how to use GIF stickers, keep reading and I will tell you how to add GIFs to Instagram story.

Add GIF Stickers to Instagram Story

Open the Instagram app and swipe from left to right. It will open the camera to capture and add photo or video to story. Either use camera or select gallery to add an existing photo or video.

Now tap on Stickers icon at the top side and you will see a newly added GIF icon. Tap on it and it will show you lots of GIFs with an option to search. You can use search to search stickers by keywords. When you have finalised what sticker to use, tap on it to select.

You can always move the GIF sticker’s location in the same way you could for other stickers. Just tap and hold then drag to place it at desired position. The add it to your story.

You can add as many GIF stickers as you want. There is no limit on this.
