Block Porn or Malicious Websites With These DNS

Most of the people who have kids at home want to block porn websites on their system to keep their children away from porn websites. For this, they buy a different kind of porn blocking software. Most of the porn blocking software costs too much. If you do not want to spend but want to block porn websites on your system, I have a free and effective way. You can use some freely available DNS services to keep porn sites blocked in your system.

Below are DNS settings to block porn websites. At the end of the post, we have described how to use these settings.

Norton DNS for Home

Norton offers 3 kinds of protection policies. But for home computers, Norton DNS for Home is best, It blocks phishing websites, malware spreading websites and porn websites. Use These DNS settings to activate this.

Security and Pornography settings Norton DNS

1. Preferred DNS Server:   198.153.192.50
2. Alternate DNS Server: 198.153.194.50

OpenDNS

OpenDNS is another popular DNS service that provides a good level of security from various online threats and porn website. You can use these settings.

• Preferred DNS Server:   208.67.222.222
• Alternate DNS Server:   208.67.220.220

• Preferred DNS Server:   208.67.220.123
• Alternate DNS Server:   208.67.222.123

Safe DNS

Safe DNS is also nice DNS service. It blocks porn, phishing, and malware website. Use these settings.

• Preferred DNS Server:   195.46.39.39
• Alternate DNS Server:   195.46.39.40

How to Add these DNS settings

Open Network and sharing settings and then Open Adapter connection status. (LAN or Wireless depends on your system. See snap)

Now click on Properties.

Now select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and then click on Properties button.

Now select check box “use the following DNS server address:” and add any of the above-given settings.

After entering DNS server details, save settings.You are done. Now you should not worry about your children’s protection online. These DNS will block porn, phishing and other kinds of malicious websites. It will also help you to speed up your Internet.
