Extension Defender scans all installed extensions and apps of your Chrome browser against known malware, spyware, and adware. After installation, it adds a shield like an icon in OMNI bar. Clicking on this icon takes you to a new page that asks you to scan all extensions.

Clicking on Scan button scans all the installed extensions. If you have any suspicious extension installed in your browser, it will notify you in the search result page along with the author name and plugin id. You should remove all the suspicious extensions from your browser.
