How To Get “View Image” Option Back In Google Image Search

Google Image search

Recently Google has rolled out a notable change in Google images. It has removed the ‘View Image’ button next to the Visit in Google image search results. Google removed this button to avoid giving users an option to download images. Now users will have to visit the website to download the image of actual size from there. By this, Google just wants to avoid being in trouble. It has already been accused by several image hosting companies for its image search results.

Even if Google has stopped showing the View Image button, users cans still go to website and download the image to use anywhere. SO, this has not changed anything except adding a two-step process.

If you miss that button and want it back in image search results, I have a trick for that.

Before I start writing about that extension, I want to tell you that images are not free to use anywhere. You need to take proper permission from image owners. If you use images without permission, you can be into legal trouble. If you do not want to be in that, you should use websites offering royalty free stock images. Using any random image by searching on Google images is not the right way.

You need to download View Image extension on your Google Chrome browser. After you have added the extension. Go and try searching for an image on Google images. You willow see the View image button as it used to be earlier.

I tried this extension and it is working fine. But Google may remove fix the hack this extension uses or remove the extension from the play store. You can still right click on the image and select ‘Open image in new tab’ to view the image. You can also open the website and view the full image.

Now you know how to get the “View Image” option back in Google Chrome. In case you were missing this option in Google image search, try this extension.
