How To Use Google Lens On Any Android Phone

Google Lens is an interesting feature that lets people identify things using visual search. You just need to capture the photo of the object and Google Lens will identify it. Google Lens is an AI feature that can do a lot of things like scanning business cards, scanning bar codes, identifying objects, books, monuments and more.

This feature is really helpful in identifying a new flower you just saw, find stores where you can buy similar clothes or furniture and more such use cases.

A few devices including phones from Google, Xiaomi and OnePlus come with Google Lens integration in the camera app. So, users having any of the supported phones can use the camera app to use Google Lens. But what about other Android users?

Google Lens in Google Assistant

Google Photos

Google Lens has also been integrated into Google Photos. You just need to capture a photo and open it in Google Photos. You will see the Google Lens icon at the bottom side. It will open the Lens interface.

Google Lens is also available as a dedicated app on the Play Store. After installation of the app, it will add a dedicated app icon to launch Google Lens. Tap on Google Lens icon anytime you want to use Google Lens on your phone.

It is worth to note that Google also records and saves Google Lens activity. If you want to check that, you can head to Google Lens Activity. It will ask you to sign in to your Google Account if you are not already signed in. On this page, you also see an option to delete Google Lens activity. In case you do not want Google to keep your Google Lens history, remove it and turn on the automatic deletion option.
