How to Block Porn and Offensive Videos in YouTube to Make it Kids Safe
YouTube is the popular video sharing platform that we use to share or watch videos. On YouTube, you can find any kind of video. It may be a video song, movie trailers, educational video, historical video or adult video. It also contains many videos that are adult or offensive. These videos are not safe for kids. But, YouTube search can easily give access to these videos. When you search naked on YouTube, you will see many videos that you will never want your kids to see. You can block porn websites but blocking YouTube is not a good idea. In this post, we will see how to block only porn videos on YouTube. In this way, your kids will only be able to see good education videos.
Open YouTube and scroll down to bottom. Here you will find safety filter. By Default, this safety filter is off. Turn it on to activate safety Filter.
This safety filer will block adult videos and violence videos on YouTube. But This is not a permanent solution. It will set to default (off) once you close the browser.
YouTube safety filer blocks few words like “naked” and “sex” and displays no results. It also blocks videos that are marked as age-restricted content on YouTube. But few videos that are not marked as “age-restricted,” may bypass this filter.To limit your children from accessing YouTube videos, you can create a playlist of videos that you want your kids to access. Then embed this playlist on a webpage. Give access to this page to your child. You child will only be able to access the playlist.
