How to check if someone else is using your Instagram account

Check Login Activity on Instagram Mobile App

Open Instagram and go to your profile. Now tap the ‘hamburger icon’ located at the top right side of the screen. Go to Settings and then tap Security.

In the Security section, Tap Login activity. Now you will see all active logins of your account. This screen shows the last login, device, and location.

In the login activity section, if you see an unauthorized login, tap the three-dot icon in front of it and then select log out.

Check Login Activity on Instagram for web

If you are using Instagram on a web browser, follow these steps to check login activity.

First, tap the profile icon at the top right corner and then select Settings.

Now check the left sidebar and click on Login Activity.

This section will show you Login activities with activity location on Map.

If you find an unauthorized login, tap the down arrow icon in front of that activity. It will show you the activity location on the Maps.

Now click Log out to sign out from the selected login activity.

Even if you have ended that unauthorized login session, it is recommended to change the password. Changing password also forces all devices to log in again. But this step ensures your account is safe from hackers. You can also enable two-factor authentication to add another layer of protection to your account.
