How to Enable Smooth Scrolling Feature in Google Chrome

Whenever we scroll down or up a web page in browser, it usually do three lines scrolling at a time. This is done both while using mouse scroll or keyboard arrow keys to scroll a page. This is not a problem at all, but it creates problem when we are reading an article and lost the place where we were after the scrolling article. To solve this problem, we can use smooth scrolling feature in Google Chrome

This feature is also available in FireFox and we can enable it from options window. But Google Chrome has no direct option to enable it. But You can enable it in Chrome from secret configuration page.

Follow these steps to enable Smooth Scrolling in Google Chrome.

Step 1: Open Google Chrome, type about:flags in the address bar and press enter. It will open a configuration page of Google Chrome.

Step 2: Scroll down the page and fine “Smooth Scrolling.” It would be disable by default.

Step 3: Click on Enable link just below it and then click on “Relaunch Now” button.

Step 4: It will restart your chrome browser and enable this feature. Now you will be able to enjoy this smooth scrolling feature.

You may not feel difference in the browsing behavior  But you will surely feel difference while reading an article. 

This is just an experimental feature and will be available as an option in chrome some day. Till now you can enable it as given above.
