How to Make Folders in iPhone Home Screen to keep similar apps together

But you can reduce the clutter on the home screen by making folders to keep similar apps together. This makes it easier to use the phone and find all similar apps at once place. How to Create Folders and Group Apps on the iPhone

To create a folder, you need at least two apps. You can create a folder for keeping a single app and this also doesn’t make sense at all. So decide what two apps you want to keep together in a folder.

Step 1: Lightly tap and hold one of the apps until all apps on the screen start shaking.

Step 2: Then drag one of the apps on the top of the other. It will merge the apps to create a folder and you will now see both the icons in the folder.

Step 3: At the top, you will have the option to edit the folder name. By default. iOS uses the App Store category of the apps to suggest a name.

Step 4: To add more apps in the folder tap outside of the folder to go back to the Home screen. Now drag and drop any other app on the top of the folder. The iOS will automatically put the app in the folder. Keep this for all the apps you want to keep insider the folder.

Step 5: When you have added all the apps, click on the home button or swipe up to save the new arrangement.

How to Remove an App From Folder on iPhone

If you want to remove an app from a folder, you can do that just like you added. Follow the given steps.

Step 1: Tap and hold the folder until the folder starts wiggling.

Step 2: Tap on the folder and it will open the folder showing all the apps icons wiggling.

Step 3: Now drag the app out of the folder onto the home screen.

Step 4: Click on home or swipe up to save the new arrangement.

How to Delete a Folder on the iPhone

If you want to delete a folder, you need to first drag all the apps out of the folder on to the home screen. I have already told you how to move an app from the folder. When you drag all the apps out of the folder, the folder will disappear. Then press the home or swipe up to save the changes you have made.
