Tinder is the popular dating app that most of the millennials use. A few months back, Tinder added an option to add a short video of yours along with photos. After that, the app has started consuming more data. If you are using Tinder on Wifi with no data limit, you won’t have an issue. But it may increase your bill if you use Tinder on mobile data.
But there’s a small trick that you can try to reduce the data consumption ny the app. This trick won’t affect your Tinder experience, but will surely reduce the data usage by the app. This trick is nothing but the turning off auto video playback on the app. If you are not sure how to do that, keep reading.
Open the Tinder app. Tap on your profile icon and then tap on Settings option. Now scroll down and find the “Data Usage” section. Here tap on “Autoplay Videos” button.
Here, you can either select on “WiFi only” or “Never AutoPlay videos” depending on your choice.
After doing this change, the Tinder app will stop auto-playing videos when you are accessing the app on mobile data. Hence less data consumption and less bill.
In countries where mobile data is still costly, this simple trick can make a big impact on mobile data consumption if one uses Tinder app a lot.
