Steps to send voice messages on Instagram

For sending a voice message on Instagram, follow these steps.

Open Instagram and tap on DM icon located at the top right side.

Now either compose a new message or select existing conversation.

You will see a mic icon at the bottom side of the screen.

To send a voice message, tap and hold the mic icon and start speaking. It will continue to record your message until you release the mic icon.

Note that if you release the mic icon, it will be sent. In case you do not want to send the recorded message, you need to slide your finger to trash it.
