How to Set Chrome to Prompt Download Location Each Time You Download

Chrome

Google Chrome is the most popular browser. I also like it and prefer over all other browsers. If you are confused why read why Google Chrome is the best browser. When we download a file in Google Chrome, it downloads the file on a default location automatically without prompting. Default location is C://Users//UserName/Downloads

After downloading if you want to put the file on another location, you need to browse the download folder and then move the file. To make this easier, you wish to set Chrome to prompt download location each time you start downloading. After this, you can directly download the file to the location you want.

Follow these steps and set chrome to prompt download location each time:

Click on the menu icon and then Settings.

Scroll down the page and click on the link Show advanced settings.
Now see the downloads section. Here select the tick mark saying “Ask where to save each file before downloading”.

Now Google Chrome will prompt download location each time you start downloading. If you want to change the default download location, you can change the download location path.

I hope this tip is useful to you. If you have any problem, comment below.
