How to Set Chrome to Prompt Download Location Each Time You Download

Default location is C:UsersUserNameDownloads

After downloading if you want to put the file on other location, you need to browse the download folder and then move the file. To make this easier, you wish to set Chrome to prompt download location each time you start downloading. After this, you can directly download file to the location you want.

Follow these steps and set chrome to prompt download location each time:

Click on the menu icon and then settings.

Scroll down the page and click on the link Show advanced settings.
Now see the downloads section. Here select the tick mark saying “Ask where to save each file before downloading”

Now Google Chrome will prompt download location each time you starts downloading. If you want to change the default download location, you can change the download location path.
