How to use TikTok on PC

TikTok is now one of the most popular entertainment apps where users can upload or watch videos created by other users. The app is really addictive because of its entertaining content. The app lets users create and share short videos including short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. In a very short span of time, it is now a trending app. It was popular mostly in Asian countries but now it is also popular in western countries.

TikTok now has more than 500 million active users and is now taking teens away from Facebook’s Instagram. TikTok only has an app to access videos. So, you need to install the app and watch videos. You do not need an account just for watching videos, but you will have to create an account for putting comments or posting videos.

The steps to use TikTok on PC is similar. You need to use an emulator. The emulator is the software that creates a virtual environment for running Android apps on Windows or Mac. So, you need to first install BlueStacks emulator. Alternatively, you can also use any other good Android Emulator.

Android Emulators allow you to install an Android app using APK or from Play Store. In this article, I will use Bluestack for demonstration purpose.

First of all, Download Bluestacks from its official website. The installer file will be large, so it will take some time in downloading. After the download finished, install Bluestacks on your PC.

You also need to sign in with your Google account to access the Google Play store. This is necessary to download the app from Play Store and enjoy updates. So, after sign in with your Google account, open the Google Play store and search for the TikTok app. From search results, click on the TikTok result and install the app.

Click on Accept in the pop-up window to give the app access to the computer’s camera when asked.

Now you can use TikTok on your PC. You can use the app to access videos, record new videos, add sounds, apply filters and effects and more.
