Save Highlighted Text into a File from Firefox

Download and install the Save Text to File add-on in your Firefox browser. After installation, open any web page and select the text which you want to save. Then right click on the page to open context menu. You will see a new option “Save Text to File.”
Once you select this option, you will see a notification at bottom down side about the saved text.
If you want to customize options, you can go to this add-on settings page. For this, click on Tools menu and then Add-ons. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+Shift+A to open Add-ons page. Here, go to extensions and then click on Options in front of Save Text To File.
You can select the default directory to save file and naming method. Last option lets you select whether you want to create a new file each time or append the copied text to existing file. You can also customize other options.
All files are saved in a text file. So, any simple word processor software will be able to open it. You can use Notepad or WordPad n windows.
Save Text To File is a nice browser extension that lets you quickly save highlighted text into a file. There may be few bugs. Still, it works well. You can use this tool and then share your experience with us via comments.
