There may be many more reasons like in offices, when you want all systems to startup at a specific time and shutdown after the specific time.
In this guide, I will show you how to schedule Mac’s startup and shutdown timings.
How to Schedule Startup and Shutdown on Mac
Note: To use this feature, you need to keep your Mac device connected to power.
Step 1: Go to “System Preferences” and select “Energy savings”.
Step 2: Tap on “Schedule” button located at the bottom right side of the dialogue box.
Step 3: Select the checkboxes for start up or sleep. From the dropdown saying sleep, you can select options: Sleep, Restart or shutdown.
Step 4: Select the appropriate timing and click on Ok.
You should also note that your system must be awake at the time it is scheduled to shutdown. If it is in sleep mode, it will continue sleeping instead of shutting down.
