By default, WhatsApp does not offer any option to Schedule a message. It is because the messaging app was developed for instant messaging. But in future, we can expect thing kind of option. For now, you have few third-party apps that allow you to schedule WhatsApp messages on the Android phone.
On Google Play Store, you can easily find few apps for scheduling WhatsApp message. I tested only “Scheduler for WhatsApp” and was able to schedule message on WhatsApp. The best thing about this app is that it does not require root to work. So, you can easily use this app with your non-rooted devices. But, there is a restriction that will not make the experience good.

So in this article, I am writing steps to schedule WhatsApp messages on Android with “Scheduler for WhatsApp”.
Schedule WhatsApp Messages On Android
Download Scheduler for WhatsApp from Play Store. After installation, it asks you to enable the Accessibility settings to schedule messages.
When you have enabled the option, now open the app. You will see a + icon to compose a new message and schedule. You have the option to select a group or individual contact. To schedule messages to a group, you need to upgrade for pro account. In the Free app, you can only schedule message with text content only. For scheduling a photo message, it asks you to upgrade.
It works fine but failed few times. The app also has the option to send SMS in case it fails to send the scheduled message on WhatsApp. In my testing, one message was sent two minutes late.
Before you download and start using this app, you must know an important thing about this app. This app cannot schedule a message if it has any kind of PIN or Pattern lock. The phone should be unlocked at the scheduled time.
If you have rooted device, this restriction will not be there. So, it is good for rooted phones. For non-rooted phones, it does not serve the purpose.
Final Words
This app is fine, but you need to remove any kind of PIN or pattern lock to use this app. You cannot rely on the app as well because it can fail in few cases. This is the reason I recommend you to use the SMS option in case if it fails. The app is safe to use and I also scanned it with available Antivirus app. Google Play Protect also marked this app as safe. So, there is no harm in trying the app.
