WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app with over a billion users. Not just messaging, it allows us to share files, and location as well. People have even started using this at work to share important notes and files. When you send a photo on WhatsApp, it compresses it and delivers the compressed version of the photo. So, the quality of the photo on the other side will not be as good the s in original image. But there is a way to send the uncompressed photos over WhatsApp.
On Desktop and Android app, this trick works fine. It will also work for iOS but you will have to follow some additional steps.
For sending uncompressed photos over WhatsApp, send it as document and not as photos. When you click on attachment (paperclip) icon in WhatsApp conversation, select the Document option and browse the photo you want to send uncompressed.
You can also select multiple photos to send as documents. On conversation window, it will not be shown as a regular photo but clicking on it will open the photo.
In iPhone, you first need to save photos to Files app before you see it for sharing as a document. WhatsApp opens the Files app where you can select the images.
Now you know how to send uncompressed photos over WhatsApp. Alternatively, you can also share photos with friends by using Google Drive or any other cloud storage services. I personally use Google Photos to keep a backup of my photos and share it with friends.
If you have any confusion of question, you can always leave it in the comments.
